Lisa and Steven's West Tower wedding...

What a great day we had with Lisa and Steven. The day started with a somewhat hairy journey as we were delayed by some traffic on the way. I won't go into what we did to cut down our waiting time in the queue, but I'd rather not have to do it again! We still arrived in good time to cover the preparations and build up. Everyone was very relaxed, with the West Tower staff adding to the feeling of calm. As always, they were very good, nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to make sure the Bride and Groom really can relax and enjoy their day!

In spite of some early downpours, the weather really brightened up and we managed to get what are now becoming our signature images; dramatic portraits of the Bride and Groom.

Due to someone knocking over and damaging our Pocketwizard flex trigger, we used the Ranger Quadra kit for the first time at a wedding. We had planned to use the Quadra kit a little later in the year, but we had no choice and dived straight in. The combination of portability, power, battery good for over 1000 shots at low power and low weight make it hard to resist. I guess we stuck with the flex system because we were used to it. We will still certainly use the Pocketwizards, especially to take advantage of high speed sync capabilities.  We are absolutely delighted with the results and will almost certainly make this the go-to kit for the portrait part of our wedding shoots from now on. We love shooting these images and they are a nice contrast to the rest of our documentary photography which makes up around 80% of the wedding images we shoot.

It's getting more and more difficult to select images from the final collection to show here on the blog as we love so many, anyway, here goes.....
