Another award winning image!

Follow Me on Pinterest
This morning we received an email from the AGWPJA informing us that we have again been selected in the top 20 images for their quarterly competition. To win for the second successive competition is fantastic news. We are also delighted that the image features on their home page as one of the winners! The image is here and is from Kath and Tod's wedding. It was shot with a Nikon D3, 24-70 f2.8....

Here is what the judges said...

"This is such a lovely surreal wedding scene. It would look like a funeral if not for the bright colors of the bridesmaid's dresses and the long flowing white dress of the bride. But that's what also makes it so appealing - there is a moment to be found in the stark contrast of a chapter in life beginning among symbols of chapters long closed."

We were delighted to receive a lovely message from one of the bridesmaids at Emma and Jake's wedding. It is always nice to get these comments and we are pleased that not only the brides and grooms are delighted with their photographs, but that other guests take the time to comment too!

Short video of images for 60 Hope Street Group

We went along to the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival last weekend to shoot a few images for one of our commercial clients 60 Hope Street. Their stalls for Host, Quarter and 60 Hope Street were really busy, and the deepfried jam butties were sooo good!!
I have made a short video......

Ruth and Peter, pre wedding shoot

Follow Me on Pinterest
This weekend, we spent some time with Ruth and Peter shooting their pre wedding images around the Liver Buildings and Liverpool ferry terminal. The weather was glorious and, when used to our advantage,, gave us some stunning results. It will be great to share Ruth and Peter's day as Ruth, my cousin was one of our bridesmaids nearly 18 years ago. Here are a few images from the shoot.....

Victoria and Adam's wedding.....

The day we went on holiday, we were shooting Victoria and Adam's wedding at Elm Hall Drive church followed by reception at The Palm House. It was a lovely service and the Palm House looked great as always. In between the service and wedding breakfast,  was a tea and cake reception at the church where lots of cake was eaten, especially by the kids! Here are a few shots from the day....

Sonia and Phil's breathtaking Queensberry album...

Follow Me on Pinterest
We recently received an absolutely stunning Queensberry album for Sonia and Phil whose wedding we shot on Christmas eve last year. It took them a while to pick the images for the album because

"you and Hazel have taken so many beautiful shots, it's been so hard to choose!"

Eventually, they chose their images and the album duly arrived. It is a 14x10 inch duo album with gunmetal Buckram cover.  It is really stunning and we know they are going to love it!

Some very kind words....

We received a lovely message from Suzie's mum (one of our recent brides) about our photography, it read.....

Every moment has been captured, the pre wedding anticipation, the grandeur of the church, the fun and warmth of the guests, the romance and happiness of the Bride and Groom, the flawless attention to detail of West Tower, the stunning flowers, the thrill of the first dance, the love of grandma, the playful children. You got it all! Contented mother of the Bride. THANK YOU

It's always great to receive these comments on our work and approach to capturing weddings, thank you so much for these kind words!
