More recognition and achievement!

As a result of the successful WPJA submission, we were also invited to join an elite group of photographers within the WPJA, namely the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association! This really is special as usually admittance to this group normally requires a separate submission and evaluation of work. However, based on the quality of images submitted, we were invited to be part of the AG|WPJA. Please visit www.agwpja.com to see the quality of work. In England, there are currently only 24 (including ourselves) AG|WPJA photographers! Their philosophy is as follows:

"The AG|WPJA has become a refuge and a platform for dedicated wedding photojournalists who also happen to be masters in digital photo enhancement. It’s also a showcase for the finest artistically enhanced wedding photography in the world, not to mention a great Web destination for the bride and groom seeking something special."

"The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association AG|WPJA is comprised of outstanding wedding photographers, who are at the forefront of the wedding photography industry when it comes to enhancing images. The chief objective of the AG|WPJA is to provide members with a platform where the finest enhanced, manipulated and/or artistic wedding photojournalism in the world is spotlighted and promoted for the bride and groom.

The AG|WPJA is a separate division of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA). Whereas the WPJA upholds strict guidelines that forbid excessive picture manipulation, the AG|WPJA encourages and fosters creative image enhancement, with the vision of promoting Fine Art Wedding Photojournalists.

The AG|WPJA establishes and upholds high standards that are taken into consideration during the judging process for our wedding photography contests. Using all artistic tools at their disposal, members skillfully enliven their work in post production processing."

We are very proud that our work is now considered among the best wedding photography. Please contact us for further details and to see how you can have us cover your wedding.......

SUCCESSFUL WPJA SUBMISSION

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that ian MACMiCHAEL photography has been recognised as meeting the very high standards of the Wedding Photojournalist Association. This is a huge endorsement of the quality of wedding work we produce. Pease visit www.wpja.com to get an idea of the standards that are required to gain admission. They describe the WPJA philosophy as follows:

The Wedding Photojournalist Association is a highly screened, critical organization. Less than 5% of wedding photographers out there qualify for membership.

"The WPJA puts the world’s best wedding photography at your fingertips. We offer a new perspective on wedding photography – quietly capturing the real moments as they happen for the bride and groom.

It is our goal to use photography to tell the story of your wedding day, not dictate it for you.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Membership in the WPJA depends entirely on photographers meeting our high standards for inclusion. One CANNOT simply pay his/her way into the WPJA. We emphasize this is NOT another ad-driven wedding web site."

WEDDINGS IN 2011!

We're really excited to have already started taking bookings for weddings next year! One of them will be the third and last one we have covered for 3 siblings. Firstly one sister, then the brother and next year the other sister! The bride and groom were so happy with our work for the first one that the other brother and sister booked us over a year in advance for their weddings to make sure we would be there! Bookings still continue to come in for this year too, please feel free to get in touch to discuss your aspirations for your wedding photography.
