Tasha and Kev's wedding...

Follow Me on Pinterest
Last week, we shot 2 weddings at the gorgeous 60 Hope Street, and Tasha and Kev's was the second....As usual, they were expertly looked after by Colin and the team at 60 who always do all they can to make sure everything is right!
The weather on the day was really bad and it poured down all day! And to make matters worse, the Best Man got 2 parking tickets! Because of the weather, we couldn't do our trade mark dramatic portraits outside, but we did some inside and got some lovely shots which we are really pleased with.
In spite of the weather, it was a fabulous day and everybody had a really good time...here are a few from the day.....

Award celebrations.....

This week, we were delighted to learn that one of images from a 2012 wedding has won 2nd place in an international wedding photography competition. The image was submitted to the first quarterly competition of the AGWPJA. Being part of the AGWPJA is an achievement in itself as they only accept photographers who continually meet their standards of membership. Their philosophy is explained on their site....

"The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association is a group of international wedding photojournalists, who capture unscripted wedding moments as they happen, and excel in the art of post-production image processing.

The Q1 Contest showcases the wedding photojournalism of AG|WPJA members for 2012, and rewards their artistic abilities in enhancing those photographs through post production processes. The AG|WPJA wishes to extend our congratulations to all our members who had award-winning entries in this contest ."

There are thousands of entries every quarter into these competitions from outstanding wedding photojournalists all over the world. Of the winners this time from around the world, only 3 were from the UK! It is a real honour to have a third award winning image and especially exciting to placed second. The image was in the ceremony category and was shot at Steve and Shelly's wedding in April....

The judges comment was..."Very dramatic. Great mood and use of colour."

Jamie and Jemma's pre wedding shoot...

Follow Me on Pinterest
It was good to meet up with Jamie and Jemma last week just 2 days before their wedding! We would normally meet up before this but couldn't quite make it as Jamie is a submariner. They were quite nervous at first, which is normal, but we soon made them feel relaxed and we got some great shots in our short time together. Here are a few....some images from their wedding day will posted here shortly......

Sharon and Armen's wedding

We had a lovely time with Sharon and Armen as they celebrated their intimate and stylish wedding at the lovely 60 Hope Street. Sharon got ready at The Hope Street Hotel and made the short walk along Hope St to 60. They were joined by their families and friends and all had an enjoyable time, even down to all singing together "you got a friend in me" from Toy Story! We even managed a brief walk to the end of Hope St to do some portraits with the Anglican Cathedral as a backdrop. Here are a few of our favorites from the day......
