Michelle and George pre wedding shoot. Video and images....

We have been wanting to do a really gritty, urban pre wedding shoot for a while now, it's been a matter of waiting for the right opportunity. Well, last weekend, we got our chance. We first met with Michelle and George over a year ago when they chose us to cover their wedding day. We've been in fairly regular contact during that time and arranged their pre wedding shoot for 2 weeks ago. However, the weather was so bad we had to postpone.
We finally met up at Liverpool city centre bar Alma de Cuba. We spent an hour sharing a couple of drinks and having a great laugh. We all get on so well it made the shoot really easy! We had seen an alley behind the bar and suggested we do some shots there. I think they were a little nervous at first but that soon changed and we basically all laughed our way through around an hours worth of shooting. They really threw themselves into the whole idea. In the end, I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, us or them!!

George sent us a message later saying:

"just wanted to thank you both..we're buzzing with the shots you showed us...thank you so much Ian and Hazel".

Making what we think are great pictures is one thing, but making clients happy and relaxed about having their photos taken and then them enjoying their images is the real reward.

All images were shot with a Nikon D3 with 24-70 2.8 and a D700 with the 70-200 2.8 VRII, using mainly ambient light. For the lit, more dramatic shots we used our usual set up of Photoflex extra small Octodome, Pocketwizard Flex triggers and a Nikon SB 900 to balance with the ambient light.

The video is full HD so please, please wait for it to load... it's worth waiting for a minute or so, I promise...it wasn't worth using low res because the images are so striking :-) !! It's also quite long as we had so many images we wanted to include..!!

Some stills are also here...hope you guys like them...
